Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.
Isaiah 41:10
I have to be honest – I’ve spent so much of my energy lately being afraid. Letting the anxieties of life eat away at my joy. Letting my thoughts run in overdrive until I’m overwhelmed.
And this pandemic hasn’t made things any better. It just intensified the worry that was already in my heart.
But God reminded me in His word that worrying is completely baseless. Living in fear does nothing to change your situation and is usually rooted in things that will never come to pass.
Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very thing, why do you worry about the rest?
Luke 12:25-26
I constantly have to check my heart and leave my concerns at the foot of Jesus where they belong.
God literally tells us that He is with us so we have nothing to fear. We have the playbook of life (the Bible) so we already know how the game ends (we get the victory! God wins!)
He promised to strengthen us, to uplift us, and to guide us.
I believe that’s why it’s so important to renew our mind daily with scripture. It’s so easy to get caught up in the things of the world that we forget what God has already promised.
That’s one reason I decided to launch the “Verses Collection.” These Bible verse necklaces allow us to wear God’s word close to our hearts so that we are constantly reminded of who He is and the love that He has for us.
Isaiah 41:10 is so fitting for this time in my life. Becoming a new wife and mom (all in one year), planning the relaunch of my business – all while going through a pandemic – has not been easy but God is yet faithful and his promises endure forever.
I pray that you find encouragement and hope today!
Be still and know that I am God.
Psalm 46:10
What a beautiful message!!! I’m so proud of you and everything you have accomplished. You are such a strong woman and great example of how if you set your mind to it, you can do anything. This is especially inspiring to me right now with my current health conditions and I have to remind myself of this daily. So thank you for being exactly who you are and not being afraid to share His word!!! God bless you and your beautiful family, Edie!!!
