Happy Mother’s Day Mama!! “Thank You” does not encompass everything I owe you. You are and have been a great mother to me, my best friend, and each year we only grow closer which is such a blessing. Thank you for loving my baby and being such a good granny to him, and helping me create memories just like we did for my childhood. My life would be incomplete without you and I thank God for your life. I love you SO much Mama 😘 ❤️💕❤️

Did you budget $500 for your website only to request a quote from a website designer and find out that it actually costs 10x that! Talk about sticker shock!

You may be confused, wondering why!

Well, with a custom website there are alot of moving parts, and a *good* website is action-driven, combining strategy with intentional design. (hate to tell you 🙈, but a pretty design doesn’t always = sales)

So, because of that, when you work with a professional website designer the costs may be more than you anticipated.

And, let’s be all the way 💯 - when you are on your journey to reaching 100k in your business, what you invest your money in and *how* you invest your money is super important.

Before you 🎯 that 100k mark, in my humble (professional) opinion, it’s not the time to throw 💰💰💰💰💰 of dollars into your website build.

You still need to solidify your business model, perfect your customer journey, and build up your income to support all the backend/tech that is needed in order to maintain a custom website over time.

So what should you do instead? DIY it. Do it yourself!

That 💡hit me, coming from a frustrated heart, I said it during a conversation I was having with my husband last night.

I was just venting to him about how trying to run a business and be a stay at home Mom was WAY harder than I had anticipated.

Raising our son is the honor of my life but I’d be lying if I said it was easy trying to do #allthethings, there are days where I’m near tears because I feel like I’ve dropped the ball in one area or another.

But I realized that, God has me in a position where I’m blessed to raise my son full time and build a business I can be proud of.

He has me in a position where I can be there for every little milestone, and take him to appointments with me (like in this photo, our Chiro’s office snapped this cute pic while I was getting adjusted in the back, which ironically ties into this post, lol)...or just spend time with him watching him grow.

It’s what I prayed for. It’s here, it’s happening. But just like with other things we pray for, what it “looks like” doesn’t always align with what we expected it to actually *be* like.

But, I think when moments like this happen, it’s the perfect time to walk in gratitude, and check our heart for any bitter roots.

And to also break free from the bondage of comparison. Being patient with the season you are in and where God has YOU.

Breanna is a #lifestyleblogger and she came to me to revamp her website with a new look and feel.

She booked my “Website in a Week VIP Experience” where I was able to roll out the red carpet for her and walk along side her to make her vision come to life.

Matthew 5:15-16 calls us to ✨let our light shine✨ so that God gets the glory and one of the best ways that we can do that is to live in obedience to God and do the things He’s planted in our hearts to do.

It’s more than website design for me, this is my ministry and it’s a blessing every time one of you contacts me to build your website because I know that’s it’s not by chance, it’s ordained.

One of the things I love is reading! It’s my favorite hobby. And I’m hoping that rubs off on my son 🤞🏾🤓 lol.

For #BHM I grabbed this book at @target and have been reading these stories to him throughout the month. I want him to know, even as a little black boy, NOTHING is impossible for him.

Now ya’ll, he’s only 17 months and so his attention span is only like 30 secs 😂 but it’s just about making a habit to continuously expose him to the many stories of Black excellence.

As Black History Month comes to an end, I want to know, how did you celebrate this month? Did you learn something new that you didn’t know before (some of the hero’s in this book I had never heard of!)

This year I decided to be intentional in my business & focus more on complete transformations than piece-meal solutions.

What if I told you that the business that you are

What if I told you that the business that you are in the process of creating isn’t about you. That the purpose of your business has nothing to do with your personal success or happiness?

Wait! Before you keep scrolling, hear me out.

See, the reason that you’ve let fear creep in and you can’t seem to launch your business is because you’ve formed the false belief that your business is about you, when in reality it was a seed planted by God, waiting to be watered by your “yes” so that you can serve others.

But, every year you talk yourself out of pursuing your “thing.”

“I will fail.”
“I don’t have enough experience.”
“No one will care about what I have to offer.”
“I’m not good enough.”
“There is someone out there already doing what I want to do.”

But, Matthew 5:16 calls us to ✨let our light shine ✨ before others so that what they see 👉🏾points back to God (not us! 😉)

That seed, begging to be watered, is waiting to be sprinkled with a little boldness and a showered with whole lotta faith.🙌🏾

There is someone right now waiting for you to step out just so that they can see that it’s possible.

If you keep your eyes toward heaven you don’t have to worry about the “how” of your God-sized dream you just have to take action and let God do the rest.

Anybody still have their Christmas decor up like I do? 🙈 Lol

It just makes me so happy to see it up 😩and we all could use a little more joy with everything going on in the world, am I right 😅

Even though the holidays are technically over, I’m still loving this sweater dress I found on @amazon!

It’s such a good staple item to have in your winter wardrobe and comes in a variety of colors. The fit is so bomb too, I love it!
